Save HaloShort favorites for after the dog walk
After walking the dog, once the leash and gear are back in place and the tracker has been checked as instructed, there isn't much time left to actually sit down and watch TV. If you still have to scroll from the top of the catalog every night, you can leave two or three candidates in HaloShort first and skip a round of choosing once you're home.

Save favorites for what you want to watch—don't rush to pile up more
HaloShort offers local favorites. When you come across a short drama whose description sounds like your kind of thing but you don't have time to start it yet, you can mark it. Next time you're back from a walk, picking from these few candidates is easier than scrolling the list again by cover art.
Fewer candidates also makes it easier to remember why you wanted to watch them. For something you're only temporarily interested in, just save the title; for a show you've already watched, note your episode number too. Favorites help you find the show, episode numbers help you find your place—don't mix the two up.
When the family shares the TV, first check whose progress it is
When a family shares one TV, you can't treat favorites as each person's own private list. If a family member keeps playing the same show, the current record may have moved further along too. Checking the title and episode before you start saves you one "why did the plot suddenly change" moment.
Local favorites don't sync automatically to another TV. When you switch devices, the titles you wrote down yourself are more useful; and before clearing data or resetting, don't assume the records will be kept.
If you want to try it first, you can search for HaloShort in the Emotn store and check compatibility with your Android TV or box at home. If you only have a little free time tonight, there's no need to try all the candidates. Pick one and start; pause when you need to take the dog out again, and keep the list for next time.
